First US Cup Contest Winner Announced,Team Sho-Air/Specialized signs Melanie McQuaid

Hayes Lucky 12 Contest Winner: Phillip Beckman

The U.S. Cup is pleased to announce the first Hayes Lucky 12 contest winner. Philip Beckman, a CAT 1 (Expert) 50-54 racer from Arrowhead Lake, CA is the first rider to score the Interbike package, plus a Hayes ride kit including: Manitou R7 Fork, Black Flag wheel set and Hayes Stroker Gram brakes. Congratulations to Philip, we’ll see you in Vegas!



Each winner of the Hayes Lucky 12 Contest receives:
- Round trip airfare to Las Vegas
-Two nights hotel stay
- $250 spending money
- Access to Interbike show at Sands Convention Center
- Participate in Hayes promotion at Interbike tradeshow booth
- Interview with USA Cycling at Interbike tradeshow booth
- Free entry into the U.S. Cup unification “Shootout” round in Vegas on Sept. 26

 Team Sho-Air/Specialized welcomes Xterra World Champ:

The Sho-Air/Specialized factory domestic XC squad has added 3X Xterra World Champion Melanie McQuaid to their team roster. The Canadian rider is one of the most respected and decorated athlete’s on the Triathlon circuit, and will race along side team riders Sid Taberlay, Sam Jurekovic, and Manny Prado. Melanie will be using select U.S. Cup events as preparation for the 2009 Xterra Championships and the Sho-Air/Specialized team will be home base for the likeable rider.
